This is a now page, inspired by Irene, Steve, and Derek.

  • Coming off a huge year of experimentation, primary research, and a kind of open, transparent scholarship that is very much not my default; thus, I’m feeling reflective. Plenty of opportunities have arisen, but it’s not without vulnerability, risk, uncertainty.
  • Moving into consolidation mode for next year (2026), having been successful in applying for Academic Development Support. This three months of pure research time will enable me to work on a monograph, a couple of articles, and hopefully do a little travelling to engage with other scholars and research labs.
  • I’ve just started Count Zero, having inhaled Neuromancer (possibly a poor choice of verb) last year.
  • I’m playing The Outer Worlds 2. I really enjoyed the first game, but this one is… kinda boring?
  • About mid-way through watching Dimension 20: A Crown of Candy, after binging Cloudward Ho! earlier in the year. A delight.
